 Come down to Chiddingstone Castle to hear about an extraordinary life

For Black History Month, Chiddingstone Castle a holding an exhibition on the life of Edward Jack Shamwana in the Goodhugh Room. EJS was the former High Court Commissioner in Zambia, who spent ten years incarcerated for an attempted coup plot to overthrow the Zambian Government in 1980. Ella Shamwana depicts the narrative through a book, video and prints along with original newspaper clippings and interviews with family and friends. The exhibition is free. Donations are welcome. The exhibition will be open from 10am to 5pm Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 11 – 24 October.
